4 Points to Consider Before Buying Wallpaper
If you're thinking about re-decorating, you might want consider some of the points below before you decide on exactly what you want. Think about the benefits of buying custom digital wallpaper from us, opposed to generic rolls of wallpaper from trade stores.
Layout
If you have a unique shaped room such as conical shapes or arches, perhaps features that stick out other than a fire place, you will have to look at the available space you are working with when working out how to paper the room. If your space has a lot of windows and doors, or perhaps large pieces of wall mounted décor and art that takes up a lot of the visual wall space, you might not leave yourself a lot of space left to apply your wallpaper design. If you are going for a single large design or patterned paper, and only slivers of the wall are exposed, just remember to consider where your patterns or image might fall in relation to the rooms features when designing your custom digital wallpaper.
Size and scale
Obviously, the larger the room, the more wallpaper you will need. If you are having a mural printed, consider how large it will need to be printed to fit the space, and whether enlarging the image will distort the quality. Digital printed wallpaper looks fantastic when done well, so feel free to talk with one of our experts so we can advise you on the design requirements.
Kids
Most wallpapers just won’t stand up to a child let loose with a pen, and if you go for delicate vintage papers, then you will be in a world of trouble if your kids got their hands on it. However, there are child-friendly paper designs such as vinyl or grass paper that allows for easy cleaning; however, these can be incredibly costly. With custom digital wallpaper, there should be no need for your child to write on the wall because of an infinite range of designs, you can make wonderful space that should interest your child enough to keep the pens at bay.
Design
The design is incredibly important when customising your wallpaper. You need to decide whether you would like a block colour to match the rest of the furnishing, upholstery and accessories in the room, or whether you would create a wallpaper that showcases a single image such as a beautiful landscape, family pet or perhaps multiple images. Whatever design you decide to choose, it is important to note the number of pixels used, especially for a large mural. The amount of pixel simple gives you an idea of how sharp the image will be, an image with a higher pixel count will be sharper than a picture with less. Therefore, to cover an entire wall, you will need a picture with a much higher pixel count than if you were covering a small space or having a canvas or photo printed from us.
